EquipHotel 2016 : What to expect

EquipHotel is a biennial trade show located in Paris for hotel and restaurant professionals that will take place from 6 to 10 November 2016 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. Created more than 50 years ago, the EquipHotel show now attracts around 110,000 visitors and 1,600 exhibitors.

Companies come from all over the world to exhibit their products and services, and hoteliers and restaurateurs to source materials and discover new trends.

" The 2016 edition of EquipHotel has been redesigned as a genuine experiential space, conceived in the spirit of a notebook of inspirations, pragmatic solutions punctuated by "lives", so that every hotel and restaurant professional can feed off and draw ideas throughout the show's aisles. EquipHotel has increased its international status in recent years and is considered the most important event in the hotel and catering sector. 30% of exhibitors and 20% of visitors come from abroad.

Numerous events

EquipHotel organises many types of events: conferences, workshops, competitions, capsules, studio fair, bar off, etc. Among them, several workshops focus on the digital strategies to adopt in order to maximise direct bookings and reduce dependence on OTAs.

A special feature of this 2016 edition, Studio 16 is intended to be an establishment at the cutting edge of trends and innovation, with showcase rooms bringing together the new codes of the hotel and restaurant industry. Different areas have been designed by architects and designers such as: "In the room", "Chef's restaurant", "Bar", "Lobby", "Outdoor" or "Let's work". All of them are designed to showcase tomorrow's innovations and inventions in the different parts of a hotel.

Other places of discovery are the "capsules", areas that address specific issues such as accessibility, sustainable development, technological innovations, occupational risk prevention or the spa:

  • The Origin Room

Designed by Laurent Delporte and the architecture and interior design agency AW2, it represents the "room of the future" which is both economical, resourcing and bio-sourced.

  • The Ergo Room

The Ergo Room presents a room made with products that improve the working conditions and quality of employees. Several companies are behind the project, including one of our partners 1Check.

  • The Senses Room

The Senses Room is designed to be accessible to people with disabilities and families sharing their room, while combining luxury and design.

  • The Capsule Spa

Unlike the other capsules, the Spa Capsule is a conference area dedicated to the Spa and Wellness professions. During the 5 days of the show, hotel directors, spa managers, consultants and architects will take turns to talk about well-being in the hotel industry and share their advice and best practices. These conferences are organised by Isabelle CHARRIER, Founder and Editorial Director of EMOTION SPA Magazine and consultant in strategic and operational marketing for Spas.
